"We were looking for a different math remediation program and found it with Camelot. It has done what it promised… easy-to-implement, high student interest and better test scores. Equally important, teachers have seen a positive difference in their students."

About Us

The Math Intervention Education Solution Designed for Students Challenged by Traditional Learning Methods.

Camelot Learning was created by educators for educators to improve student achievement. It has its roots in more than 40 afterschool programs since 1997 and was designed in response to school administrators seeking alternative tutorial and intervention solutions to the typical school day.

Camelot Learning reinforces the concepts and information presented in the classroom using a curriculum designed from Harvard research and founded on Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. These intelligences include the two upon which traditional education is based, linguistic (words) and logical-mathematical (numbers and reasoning), as well as spatial (pictures), bodily-kinesthetic (body), musical (music), interpersonal (social) and intrapersonal (self) intelligences.

Children who are challenged during the school day often are not primarily linguistic or logical-mathematical learners.  One of the alternate learning styles likely dominates with those reluctant learners. Therefore, by combining core curriculum from the school day with these varied learning styles, Camelot Learning reaches many students who are otherwise challenged.

Camelot Learning’s skill-based patented lessons address the needs of all students while enabling a method of learning that maximizes a student’s strengths. Social development is enhanced as students are motivated to share and interact through small group instruction, games and activities.

Today, Camelot Learning’s academic enrichment and curriculum is also being used by schools across the country to support before, during and afterschool programs as well as summer learning.

Camelot Learning makes a difference, and because it feels different from the typical classroom period, but is substantively linked with the curriculum, students benefit from participation in the program.

VOTED BEST EDUCATION SERVICE: Camelot Learning was voted Best Education Service by Maryland Family Magazine, December 2006.

Camelot Learning Assessment

Imagine a teaching system where assessments are graded for you and recommended teaching solutions help you identify individual student needs and group skill deficits. Pre and post tests are given in a 40-minute class period.

As an added benefit, Camelot Learning makes available Assessments which are graded and returned to the school within five working days of receipt. Immediate results greatly assist teachers in assuring effective instruction.

Group data analysis provides skill assessment to assist teachers and administrators in recognizing from the pretest, which lessons may require more attention.
Individual data analysis is provided to demonstrate acquisition of skills over the course of the program; skills not mastered are listed with recommended lessons for review, creating a PEP for the student.

In parent reports, individual student data is presented by skill mastery and deficits; specific lessons are recommended for remediation of necessary skills.

After the program is finished, students may keep their workbooks, and review challenging lessons with parents or older siblings.  Workbooks also include game boards and activities for review.

Accountability reports can be used to justify fund expenditure.
